Belleville blotter: Man arrested for DUI after crash in Steak 'N Shake drive-thru

Published: December 28, 2012

The following report appeared in the most recently released crime blotter by the Belleville Police Department:

8:52 p.m. TRAFFIC ACCIDENT-D.U.I. - Steak 'N Shake, 4320 W. Main St. Officers responded to a report of an accident in the drive-thru lane, in which one driver struck the vehicle in front of him. While speaking with the driver, Dennis Means, 47, appeared to be intoxicated and failed field sobriety tests. Means was transported to HQ and released after posting bond.

Readers are reminded that an arrest or charge does not constitute a finding of guilt. Only a court of law can make that determination. For more police blotter news, read tomorrow's print edition of the Belleville News-Democrat and return to bnd.com.
