Illinois State Treasurer Dan Rutherford will be the guest speaker at the Metro East Pachyderm Club Friday.

The meeting, which is free and open to the public, will be held at noon at the Lotawata Creek Restaurant at 311 Salem Place in Fairviews Heights.

The Metro East Pachyderm Club is a nonprofit club modeled on civic organizations whose purpose is the education of members and the public on politics and government.

Visitors are encouraged to attend, share opinions and enjoy community with conservative members. No purchase is required.
