BELLEVILLE POLICE

WEDNESDAY, JAN. 2

8:29 a.m. Criminal damage to city property -- 400 W. Main St. A city employee reported observing a steel sidewalk trash can had been burned.

7:27 p.m. Traffic stop, possession of a controlled substance -- Lebanon Road at Dutch Hollow. The occupants of a vehicle were arrested during a traffic stop after being found in possession of a controlled substance. Both occupants were transported to headquarters and later transported to the St. Clair County Jail and held pending further investigation.

ST. CLAIR COUNTY FELONIES

WEDNESDAY, JAN. 2

Mikel T. White, 21, of 102 S. John St., Mascoutah, arrested on suspicion of unlawful restraint, domestic battery (two counts) by Mascoutah police. White allegedly detained Emily T. Brees, and held her against her will inside a residence and prevented her from leaving; made physical contact with Emily Brees, a family/household member, in that he bit her on the neck, and held her down on her bed against her will.

WEDNESDAY, JAN. 2

Maleta T. Cummings, 26, of Valley Park, Miss., warrant arrest by St. Clair County sheriff.

Patsy N. McGee, 26, of Belleville, warrant arrest by Belleville police.

Taija K. Gray, 24, of Belleville, warrant arrest by Fairview Heights police.

Koriel K. Rayford, 26, of East St. Louis, multiple warrant arrest by East St. Louis police.

Jovan M. Lawrence, 31, of East St. Louis, arrested on suspicion of assault and warrant arrest by East St. Louis police.

Mary L. Porter-Pennix, 49, of East St. Louis, arrested on suspicion of no registration, operating uninsured motor vehicle, suspended or revoked driver's license by St. Clair County sheriff.

Larry Kirk, 49, of Cahokia, arrested on suspicion of domestic battery by Cahokia police.

Tiffany T. Edwards, 30, of East St. Louis, warrant arrest by St. Clair County sheriff.

Jerome D. Lewis, 29, of Cahokia, warrant arrest by Belleville police.

Carlos L. Anthony, 46, of Belleville, warrant arrest by Belleville police.

Clifford A. Becker, 54, of Panama City, Fla., warrant arrest by Belleville police.

Geraldine Scott, 51, of East St. Louis, warrant arrest by St. Clair County sheriff.

MADISON COUNTY SHERIFF

WEDNESDAY, JAN. 2

Lionel Snipes, 52, of 808 Ridge Street, Alton, was arrested on suspicion of two counts of retail theft over $300 and one count of retail theft, subsequent. Snipes allegedly attempted to return merchandise that hadn't been paid for Tuesday at the Walmart in Godfrey. He also was charged with unlawful possession of cannabis as he allegedly had 1.5 grams of cannabis on his person. In addition, Snipes was identified as a suspect in two previously reported retail thefts from the Godfrey Walmart on Dec. 18-19.
