Cardinals' season opener will be televised on ESPN2

The St. Louis Cardinals' season opener at 8 p.m. on April 1 against the Arizona Diamondbacks in Phoenix will be televised on ESPN2.

It will follow live broadcasts of the San Francisco-Los Angeles Dodgers and Boston-New York Yankees games on ESPN, and the Philadelphia-Atlanta game on ESPN2.

The regular season opens March 31 when Texas plays at Houston at 7 p.m. on ESPN.

The Cardinals will play a three-game series in Arizona, then play three games in San Francisco in a rematch of the 2012 National League Championship Series.

The Cardinals' home opener is at 3:15 p.m. on April 8 against Cincinnati.
