Belleville blotter: Yelling outside home escalates into fight

Published: January 4, 2013

The following report appeared in the most recently released crime blotter by the Belleville Police Department:

Thursday

11:36 p.m. DISORDERLY CONDUCT - 800 block of N. Charles. The victim reported being awakened by two subjects yelling outside her residence. When she requested they stop, one of the subjects, Jennifer E. Jackson, attempted to fight her. Jackson left the area. At (2:05 a.m.), Jackson was arrested on a citation for disorderly conduct. Jackson was transported to headquarters and held pending bond/sobriety.

Readers are reminded that an arrest or charge does not constitute a finding of guilt. Only a court of law can make that determination. For more police blotter news, read tomorrow's print edition of the Belleville News-Democrat and return to bnd.com.
