Thursday, Jan. 3
6:24 a.m. Burglary to vehicle -- 200 block of North 41st Street. The victim reported between 3:45 p.m. and 5:45 p.m., unknown person(s) gained entry to her vehicle while it was parked in the driveway and property was stolen.
3:28 p.m. Domestic battery -- 2100 block of East Belle Ave. The victim reported being battered by the suspect in the parking lot. The suspect was arrested, transported and held pending further investigation. DCFS was notified of the incident, as it occurred in the presence of their child.
4:59 p.m. Attempted burglary -- 3800 block of North Park Drive. The victim reported returning home and discovering a window damaged and open. The incident occurred between 2 p.m. and 11 p.m. on Jan. 1.
6:52 p.m. Retail theft -- Walmart, 2608 Green Mount Commons. Carnell Barnes, 28, was detained by employees after they observed Barnes conceal merchandise and leave the store without paying for the items. Barnes was arrested, transported and held pending bond.
9:25 p.m. Burglary -- First block of North 98th Street. The victims reported returning home and discovering their apartment door open, two windows broken out, the residence in disarray with property missing.
11:19 p.m. Armed robbery, kidnapping -- 2200 block of Frank Scott Parkway. The victim reported he was walking down the road when a dark blue, four-door sedan, occupied by three men pulled up to him, forced him into the car, robbed him, and dropped him off at a different location in East St. Louis.
11:36 p.m. Disorderly conduct -- 800 block of North Charles. The victim reported being awakened by two subjects yelling outside her residence. When she requested they stop, one of the subjects, Jennifer E. Jackson, 29, attempted to fight her. Jackson left the area. At 2:05 a.m., Jackson was arrested on the non traffic citation for disorderly conduct. Jackson was transported and held pending bond/sobriety.
FRIDAY, JAN. 4
12:35 a.m. Traffic stop, driving under the influence, subsequent -- Carlyle Avenue at Green Mount Commons. The driver/suspect was arrested during a traffic stop after appearing to be intoxicated and failing field sobriety tests. The suspect was transported and held pending further investigation.
1:42 a.m. Burglary -- 200 block of Freedom Drive. The victim reported returning to his residence and discovering items missing. The incident occurred between 12 a.m. and 1:42 a.m.
ST. CLAIR COUNTY FELONIES
THURSDAY, JAN. 3
Changa J. Bakar, 37, of 4110 Old School House Court, Shiloh, arrested on suspicion of aggravated battery to a victim over 60 years of age. Bakar allegedly made physical contact with Richard Dorrough, a person over the age of 60 years, in that he struck him in the face.
Donald V. Snowden, 30, of 121 Winchester Place, Fairview Heights, arrested on suspicion of aggravated domestic battery, two counts of domestic battery on Jan. 1 by Fairview Heights police. Snowden allegedly strangled Sarah Williams, a family/household member, in that he grabbed her by the throat and applied pressure; made physical contact with Sarah Williams, a family/household member, in that he threw her to the floor and struck her about the face and body with his hands.
Danielle D. Smith, 30, of 2713 St. Louis Ave., East St. Louis, arrested on suspicion of unlawful possession of cannabis on Jan. 1 by Belleville police. Smith allegedly had in his possession more than 30 grams but less than 500 grams of a substance containing cannabis.
Gayle M. Gaubatz, 50, of 1330 N. 17th St., Swansea, arrested on suspicion of unlawful possession of a controlled substance on Jan. 2 by St. Clair County sheriff. Gaubatz allegedly had in her possession less than 15 grams of a substance containing cocaine.

Tamarah M. Mason, 21, of Centreville, arrested on suspicion of operating uninsured motor vehicle, suspended or revoked driver's license by St. Clair County sheriff.

MADISON COUNTY SHERIFF
WEDNESDAY, JAN. 2
Lionel Snipes, 52, of 808 Ridge St., Alton, was arrested on suspicion of two counts of retail theft over $300 and one count of retail theft, subsequent. Snipes allegedly attempted to return merchandise that hadn't been paid for Tuesday at the Walmart in Godfrey. He also was charged with unlawful possession of cannabis as he allegedly had 1.5 grams of cannabis on his person. In addition, Snipes was identified as a suspect in two previously reported retail thefts from the Godfrey Walmart on Dec. 18-19.
FRIDAY, JAN. 4
Mark T. Bull, 29, of 3 Hickerson Place, Alton, and Brandon S. Tate, 28, of 396 Prairietown Road, Dorsey, were arrested on retail theft. Bull and Tate allegedly stole a car stereo system, a television and DVD player from the Walmart in Godfrey.
