I regularly read Jim Walters' letters and it is pretty clear he gets his kicks by saying outrageous and insensitive things. He kind of reminds me of Mr. Scrooge in the Christmas movies -- how he was unhappy, bitter, insensitive and just plain bah humbug.

Perhaps Walters should join an organization of some sort, go back to college, get involved, be helpful to the community, support local causes, charity events, etc., maybe even help out a vet. I think there is enough bad news, complaining and unrest in our society without adding to it.

May I suggest that he flip all of that negative energy around and put the positive side of himself forward. He should create a change of heart and make 2013 a great year.
