CAHOKIA — Residents of a nursing home had to be evacuated to another part of the building because of an electrical fire Saturday night but no one was injured.
Police Chief James Jones said first responders are trying to remove smoke from the Atrium Health Care and Rehabilitation Center at 3354 Jerome Lane.
Jones said the fire was put out with an extinguisher.
