NCAA needs to apologize to Penn State players

Published: January 6, 2013

I know the trouble at Penn State was several months ago, but recent articles in the BND reminded me of the failure to the NCAA to do its part, that of protecting athletes. The penalty seemed expected except in one part -- the removal of wins from teams years back. The member of those teams worked hard, trained well and performed in a manner to win those games and were in no way a part of the Jerry Sandusky sexual abuse scandal. The NCAA owes a huge apology to the members of all those teams.
