Chip off the Good Government Party

Published: January 6, 2013

In last Sunday's BND, Belleville mayoral candidate Phil Elmore writes that he does not need a party of aldermen to run with him. He is right. He has the whole Good Government Party's aldermen behind him.

He also writes that mayoral candidate Joe Hayden's clear motive is to disagree and embarrass the other side. Is that not what the Good Government Party and Mayor Mark Eckert have done in the past, does now and will do in the future?

Phil also writes that Joe has no positive or viable solutions. That is a lie and Phil knows that. Joe laid out his plan for Belleville to Phil.

Phil is doing exactly what he is complaining about. Joe Hayden and his coalition is exactly what Belleville needs.
