After a cold spell around the holidays, metro-east residents will be able to put away their parkas and mittens for a while.
Tmperatures is expected to be warmer than normal in the upcoming week.
According to the National Weather Service, the temperature will reach a high of 46 degrees Monday under sunny skies. The high is expected to push into the 50s for the rest of the work week, topping out at 57 degrees Friday.
The weather is expected to be dry at least until Wednesday, when there is a 40 percent chance of rain expected for the evening hours. There is a 70 percent chance of much-needed showers Thursday.
