Three Ruby Tuesday restaurants in the metro-east are helping raise money for the family of an Illinois State Trooper who was killed in the line of duty in November.
The Ruby Tuesday's in Litchfield, Collinsville and Fairview Heights are giving 20 percent of customer's bills on Tuesday to the Trooper Kyle Deatherage Memorial Fund.
The First Congregational Church of Highland organized the fundraiser through Ruby Tuesday's Community GiveBack program.
Diners must show a flyer to participate in the fundraiser. The flier can be found at: http://images.bimedia.net/documents/deatherage+fundraiser-1.pdf.
Deatherage was killed by a semi truck while making a traffic stop on Interstate 55 near Litchfield.
