Abel Schrader, first-year coach of the Belleville East Lancers boys varsity basketball team, will be the guest speaker Friday at the monthly meeting of the Belleville Area Senior Men's Sports Group.

Persons interested in attending the meeting that begins at 11 a.m. at the PSOP (Programs and Services for Older Persons) Building at 201 N. Church St., are urged to make reservations by calling 234-4410, ext. 7016.

A former Okawville High School and Southern Illinois University Carbondale standout player, the 32-year-old Schrader guided the Lancers to a 11-0 record this season before a one-point loss to East St. Louis in the semifinals of the recent Collinsville-Schnucks Holiday Classic.
