I read the recent letter by Charles Lyerla. I wonder also why we hear nothing being done about Benghazi. The Congress should press on to find out what happened. The Benghazi consulate was left unarmed, without security and without help, until it was too late.
The president is the commander in chief. He, in my opinion, should be held in dereliction of duty for not sending help immediately.
An officer or even a regular soldier who would turn away from comrades in combat trouble would be court-martialed.
The Congress should find out who is accountable for what happened and take action against that person or people. Let us not back shelf and forget about it.
