The following incidents were listed among the official reports of local law enforcement agencies and court clerks. Readers are reminded that an arrest or charge does not constitute a finding of guilt. Only a court of law can make that determination.

BELLEVILLE POLICE

MONDAY, JAN. 7

8:06 a.m. Criminal damage to property -- 1000 block of Caseyville Ave. The victim reported unknown person(s) spray-painted graffiti on his garage.

1:11 p.m. Battery -- on a Metro bus in the 4400 block of West Main Street. The victim reported while she was riding a bus she was pushed and battered by an unknown suspect who was intoxicated.

1:13 p.m. Battery -- 4400 block of West Main Street. The victim reported the suspect, Arbree Hudson, 23, kicked him in the shin. The victim signed a nontraffic citation for battery. Hudson was arrested, transported and held pending bond.

1:14 p.m. Theft -- Home Depot, 5501 Belleville Crossing. An employee/suspect was arrested after taking money from his register. The suspect was transported and held pending charges.

3:13 p.m. Burglary to vehicle -- 200 block of South 16th Street. The victim reported unknown person(s) entered her unlocked vehicle and property was stolen.

4:54 p.m. Domestic battery, theft -- First block of West Harrison. The victim reported her ex-boyfriend/suspect battered her and took her property. The suspect was gone on arrival.

4:56 p.m. Theft -- Memorial Care Center, 4315 Memorial Drive. The victim reported when she checked in to the care center her purse was placed in a secured locker by employees. Upon retrieving her purse she discovered U.S. currency was missing.

5:48 p.m. Burglary to residence -- 1100 block of LaSalle. the victim reported unknown person(s) forced entry through a rear door to the residence. Once inside property was stolen.

8:40 p.m. Criminal trespass -- Executive Inn, 1234 Centerville Ave. An employee reported the suspect returned to the motel this evening. The suspect had been previously warned by management not to return. A nontraffic citation was signed for criminal trespass. The suspect was gone on arrival.

ST. CLAIR COUNTY FELONIES

MONDAY, JAN. 7

Evelyn F. Smith, 21, of 600 S. Fifth St., Brooklyn, arrested on suspicion of aggravated battery on Dec. 8, 2012, by Brooklyn police. Smith allegedly caused great bodily harm to Kierra Fuentes, in that she cut Fuentes about the hand with a knife.

Harry L. Brown II, 27, of 618 N. 85th St., East St. Louis, arrested on suspicion of possession of cannabis, 30-500 grams, on Jan. 4 by Fairview Heights police. Brown allegedly had in his possession more than 30 grams but not more than 500 grams of a substance containing cannabis.

Parrish B. Banks Jr., 22, of 412 Anderson St., Shiloh, arrested on suspicion of unlawful possession of a controlled substance and domestic battery on Jan. 4 by Shiloh police. Banks allegedly had in his possession less than 15 grams of a substance containing cocaine and made physical contact with Kristian Busler, a family/household member, in that said he shoved her about her body.

Terrance C. Luster, 39, of 21 Marilyn Lane, Cahokia, arrested on suspicion of aggravated battery of a child on May, 4 by East St. Louis police. Luster allegedly caused bodily harm to a female minor, date of birth Sept. 28, 2005, in that the he struck the female minor about the body with a belt.

Michael E. Belfield, 26, of 20 Huntington, Belleville, arrested on suspicion of possession of meth, 5 grams, by St. Clair County sheriff. Belfield allegedly had in his possession less than five grams of a substance containing methamphetamine.

Calvin D. Illig, 44, of 932 Lindemann Ave., Dupo, arrested on suspicion of possession of methamphetamine, 5 grams, on Jan. 4 by St. Clair County sheriff. Illig allegedly had in his possession less than 5 grams of a substance containing methamphetamine.

Desmond J. Adir, 21, of 7013 Dawson, Jennings, Mo., arrested on suspicion of aggravated fleeing police on Jan. 5 by Brooklyn police. Adir allegedly while operating a motor vehicle, a Dodge Charger, was given a visual signal by a police officer, Dean Anderson, who was in police uniform and driving a vehicle which displayed illuminated, oscillating, rotating or flashing red or blue lights, which when used in conjunction with an audible horn or siren would indicate the vehicle to be an official police vehicle, directing the defendant to bring said Dodge Charger to a stop, willfully fled or attempted to elude the police officer and that when willfully fleeing or attempting to elude the police officer, the defendant traveled at a rate of speed 21 miles per hour over the legal speed limit.

Quinntarius D. Hill, 20, of 240 St. John Drive, Cahokia, arrested on suspicion of residential burglary on Jan. 5 by Cahokia police. Hill allegedly entered into the dwelling place of Anita Glenn, 123 Melvin, Cahokia, with the intent to commit theft.

Grayland A. Miner Jr., 26, of 114 N. 44th St., Belleville, arrested on suspicion of theft on Jan. 5 by Cahokia police. Miner allegedly took possession of merchandise from Walmart, 1511 Camp Jackson Road, Cahokia, being six cans of infant formula, total retail value not in excess of $300. Defendant had been previously convicted of retail theft on Oct. 29, 2004.

Steven E. Huskey, 25, of 500 S. Hickory St., Smithton, arrested on suspicion of aggravated driving under the influence and driving on suspended license on Jan. 6 by Belleville police. Huskey allegedly drove a white 2007 Dodge Ram 1500 on South Church Street in Belleville while under the influence of alcohol and during a period in which the defendant's driving privileges were suspended.

Phillip J. Lewis, 24, of 4053 Mississippi, Cahokia, arrested on suspicion of aggravated domestic battery and four counts of aggravated battery of a pregnant, handicapped person on Jan. 5 by Cahokia police. Lewis allegedly strangled Tyeastia L. Martin, a family/household member, in that he choked her with his hands; knowingly made physical contact with Martin, a pregnant person, by striking her about the face with his hand; shoved her about the face with his hand; grabbed her leg and pushed it behind her head; and poked her about the face.

Reginald Gray, 52, of 721 St. Norbert, Cahokia, arrested on suspicion of aggravated battery and resisting a police officer on Jan. 6 by Cahokia police. Gray allegedly made physical contact with Kevin Phegley, in that he shoved him with his body into a wall knowing Kevin Phegley to be a peace officer engaged in the performance of his authorized duties; knowingly resisted the performance of Matthew Mason of an authorized act within his official capacity, being the arrest of Reginald Gray, knowing Mason to be a peace officer engaged in the execution of his official duties, in that he refused to be handcuffed.

Emmett L. Winters Jr., 49, of 7006 Evergreen Court, East St. Louis, arrested on suspicion of unlawful failure to renew registration on Dec. 28, 2011, by Fairview Heights police. Winters, allegedly a sex offender, knowingly failed to renew registration in accordance with the provision of the Sex Offender Registration Act, with the chief of police of East St. Louis, within one year of last registration.

TUESDAY, JAN. 8

Marcus A. Evans, 26, of 1948 Gay Ave., East St. Louis, arrested on suspicion of aggravated battery, interference reporting domestic violence, criminal damage to property on Jan. 6 by Belleville police. Evans allegedly in committing battery, and while Marcus Evans was at Belleville Memorial Hospital, a public accommodation, knowingly made physical contact of an insulting nature with Sharonda McIntyre, in that he struck Sharonda McIntyre across the face and pulled her hair; attempted to prevent Sharonda McIntyre from obtaining medical assistance; damaged property of Belleville Memorial Hospital, a telephone in Sharonda McIntyre's room, at 4600 Memorial Drive, Belleville, said damage not in excess of $300.

Heather L. Bailey, 24, of 526 Garden Blvd., Belleville, arrested on suspicion of unlawful possession of a controlled substance and driving under the influence on Dec. 16 by St. Clair County sheriff. Bailey allegedly had in her possession less than 15 grams of a substance containing cocaine and drove a gray 2002 Dodge Ram truck on East B Street in Belleville while she was under the influence of alcohol.

Lee S. Harris IV, 31, of 140 N. 82nd St., Belleville, arrested on suspicion of unlawful possession of a controlled substance on Sept. 27 by St. Clair County sheriff. Harris allegedly had in his possession less than 15 grams of a substance containing heroin.

Jenna Odehnal, 20, of 708 Lee Ave., Belleville, arrested on suspicion of unlawful possession of a controlled substance on Dec. 7, 2012 by St. Clair County sheriff. Odehnal allegedly had in her possession a substance containing hydrocodone.

Elizabeth D. Engelke, 42, of 22 Pageant Court, Belleville, arrested on suspicion of unlawful possession of a controlled substance, driving while driver's license is revoked, subsequent on Sept. 9 by St. Clair County sheriff. Engelke allegedly had in her possession less than 15 grams of a substance containing cocaine; drove a white 1996 Mercury Sable on Arabelle, in Belleville, at a time when defendant's driver's license was revoked. Defendant had been previously convicted of driving while license is revoked on Oct. 26.

Dylan J. Baldwin, 28, of 8843 Sterling Place, Caseyville, arrested on suspicion of two counts of concealment of a homicidal death on Aug. 15, 2011, by St. Clair County sheriff. Baldwin allegedly with knowledge that Melvin Gregory had died by homicidal means, concealed his death by using cleaning agents to remove blood evidence from the residence at 8834 Sterling Place in Caseyville; concealed physical evidence, being two large table legs in a trash dumpster.

Maria D. Silver, 17, of 2225 Indiana, St. Louis, arrested on suspicion of retail theft and aggravated battery on Jan. 7 by O'Fallon police. Silver allegedly took possession of merchandise from Walmart, 1530 W. Highway 50, O'Fallon, being bell phones, game consoles, video games and other merchandise, total retail value in excess of $300 and made physical contact with William Barlock, in that she pushed and struck him with her hands, knowing him to be a peace officer engaged in the performance of his authorized duties.

Lucas G. Buckley, 39, of 104 Melvin Drive, Cahokia, arrested on suspicion of retail theft on Jan. 7 by Cahokia police. Buckley allegedly took possession of merchandise from Walmart, 1511 Camp Jackson Road, Cahokia, being packs of fishing lures, total retail value not in excess of $300. Defendant had been previously convicted of retail theft on June 19, 2002.

Carlos D. Jordan, 32, of 211 Freedom Drive, Apt. C, Belleville, arrested on suspicion of aggravated battery, escape, two counts of aggravated fleeing and attempting to elude a police officer on Nov. 7 by Cahokia police. Jordan allegedly made physical contact with Kevin Phegley, in that he drove his motor vehicle, a black 2000 Mercedes Benz, while Kevin Phegley was holding onto the front driver's side door, causing him to be dragged by the motor vehicle knowing him to be a peace officer engaged in the performance of his authorized duties; while in the lawful custody of Maria Collins, a peace officer for the city of Cahokia, for the alleged commission of a felony offense, being aggravated fleeing and attempting to elude a police officer and aggravated battery, intentionally escaped from the custody of Maria Collins; while operating a motor vehicle, a black 2000 Mercedes Benz, was given a visual signal by a police officer, Gary Brewer, who was in police uniform and driving a vehicle that displayed illuminated, oscillating, rotating or flashing red or blue lights, which when used in conjunction with an audible horn or siren would indicate the vehicle to be an official police vehicle, directing the defendant to bring said black 2000 Mercedes Benz to a stop, willfully fled or attempted to elude the police officer and that when willfully fleeing or attempting to elude the police officer, the defendant traveled at a rate of speed 21 miles per hour over the legal speed limit; and disobeyed two or more official traffic control devices, being two stop signs.

Lionel Snipes, 52, of 808 Ridge St., Alton, was arrested on suspicion of two counts of retail theft over $300 and one count of retail theft, subsequent. Snipes allegedly attempted to return merchandise that hadn't been paid for Tuesday at the Walmart in Godfrey. He also was charged with unlawful possession of cannabis as he allegedly had 1.5 grams of cannabis on his person. In addition, Snipes was identified as a suspect in two previously reported retail thefts from the Godfrey Walmart on Dec. 18-19.

FRIDAY, JAN. 4

Mark T. Bull, 29, of 3 Hickerson Place, Alton, and Brandon S. Tate, 28, of 396 Prairietown Road, Dorsey, were arrested on retail theft. Bull and Tate allegedly stole a car stereo system, a television and DVD player from the Walmart in Godfrey.

THURSDAY, JAN. 3

Herman Peterson, 58, of East St. Louis, was sentenced in federal court for defrauding the unemployment insurance program. He was sentenced to 30 days in prison followed by three years probation. Peterson will spend the first six months of his probation on home confinement with electronic monitoring. Peterson also was ordered to repay $15,700 in restitution to the Illinois Department of Employment Security.

FRIDAY, JAN. 4

Ontonio Jennings, 37, formerly of Granite City was sentenced in federal court for defrauding the unemployment insurance program. Jennings was sentenced to 10 months in prison followed by two years probation. Jennings was also ordered to repay $5,796 in restitution to the Illinois Department of Employment Security.

MONDAY, JAN. 7

Tyler E. Evans, 26, of Belleville, was sentenced in federal district court to three years and 10 months in prison for possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. The weapons he possessed were also ordered forfeited.
