Police are searching for a thief who broke into a pair of homes on the same street less than an hour apart.

According to police reports, the suspect kicked in the front door of a house on Lakeshore Drive to rob the home Tuesday afternoon. Less than an hour later, while police were still searching the neighborhood for him, the suspect tried to force his way into the home next door.

A neighbor apparently interrupted the second burglary. Police have not released a description of the subject. They also have not said what was taken in the crimes.
