We are being pummeled daily by all sorts of liberal media pundits and progressive (socialist) politicians about why the federal government should abolish the Second Amendment.
One certainly cannot ignore the tragic events that have recently occurred in our society or in other countries as well, all of which were perpetrated by deranged individuals with guns. However, what is not being discussed is the history of countries that have implemented gun control and declared private gun ownership as illegal.
In 1929 the Soviet Union established gun control. From 1929 to 1953, 20 million people who were classified as dissidents and unable to defend themselves were rounded up and exterminated.
Turkey established gun control in 1911. From 1915 to 1917, 1.5 million minorities (Armenians) were rounded up and exterminated.
Germany established gun control in 1938 and from 1939 to 1945, 13 million Jews and other people considered undesirable were rounded up and exterminated.
China established gun control in 1935 and from 1948 to 1952, 20 million political dissidents were rounded up and exterminated.
Guatemala, Uganda and Cambodia all established gun control and 1.4 million people were exterminated.
In the 20th century, 56 million people were exterminated because they had no way of defending themselves.
Just think of how powerful our federal government has become since this progressive administration took over in 2008. Of course this administration will say that these other countries just didn't get it right. Are you willing to bet your life on this administration's ability to get it right?
