Don't let paradise be lost

For years I have seen a downward slide in our country. The prices for goods have risen while wages have stagnated. People are suffering. There is more money in circulation but it is not going to most of the people. The rich are getting richer and the rest, in many cases, are barely getting by.

We have one of the best countries in the world, but we are in serious trouble. The political hacks in Washington are at a standstill, not able to agree on our taxes or anything else. One side wants to move ahead while the other side has strings attached to everything. Thousands are suffering because of Superstorm Sandy and they can't agree on helping them. Our infrastructure is in dire need of repair but the right won't vote to fix it. That would create jobs instantly.

Our prisons are full, many streets are unsafe, people are buying guns and ammo like never before. We are quickly becoming a police state. A large segment of our population has no respect for the law or each other.

If there is a place called paradise, the United States is it. But even paradise can be lost if we don't take care of it.

Ever wonder why so many people want to come here? We are the land of opportunity and freedom. That's why. Let's work together before it is too late. We could lose our paradise.
