Collinsville trailed Marquette after the first three quarters Saturday at the Jerseyville Winter Classic, but the Kahoks came out on top thanks to senior guard Falando Wilkinson.
Wilkinson shredded the Explorers for 35 points, including 16 in the final quarter with the game on the line, as Collinsville defeated Marquette 68-62.
Marquette (11-5) led 19-16 after the first quarter, 33-30 at halftime and 48-46 headed into the final eight minutes. Wilkinson scored 16 of his team's 22 points in the fourth quarter.
The Kahoks (7-10) also got 13 points from Chris Mathes. Marquette was led by Deion Lavender's 23 points while D'Tae McMurray had 14 and Mike Williams-Bey had 12.
Cahokia 59, Pittsfield 45
Despite playing without scoring leader Keenan Minor, Cahokia overcame an early deficit with a strong second half to defeat Pittsfield at the Jerseyville Winter Classic.
Darius Austin led the way for Cahokia (14-2) with 20 points, 14 of which came in the second half. Carleton Rivers added 12 for the Comanches.
New Athens 70, Chester 67
New Athens fought off the host Chester Yellowjackets to win the Chester Invitational as Blake Ragland led the way with 21 points. Tyler Meyer had 17 points for New Athens (12-6) and Luc Marlow added 13 with Nick Ozier scoring 11.
Hillcrest 62, O'Fallon 51
Darien McClain had 17 points and Donovan Franklin added 14, but O'Fallon came up short against Springfield Hillcrest at the Lindbergh/Dave Sinclair Invitational. Austin Petry and Thomas Whitaker had 16 points each for Hillcrest.
O'Fallon dropped the third-place game 48-43 to Summit.
Columbia 69, Metro-East Lutheran 46
Columbia played without injured scoring leader Michael Hunsaker, but got 21 points from Jacob Wessel and 12 from Cole Foster while defeating Metro-East Lutheran at the Litchfield Invitational. Metro-East Lutheran's Paul Klarich led all scorers with 24 points.
