Bitterly cold temperatures will greet metro-east residents Monday morning and stay with them throughout the day.
At 6 a.m. the temperature was 19 degrees. But, according to the National Weather Service, with the wind chill factored in, it felt like 9 degrees.
The high Monday is expected to reach 29 degrees under clear skies. Monday night the temperature will fall to 13 degrees. On Tuesday, the high is expected to just barely break the freezing mark at 33 degrees.
