Have people decided that the gun control issue is not their fight because they don't own guns or think the Second Amendment is obsolete? Boy, are they wrong.

Consider this: It will take a huge bureaucracy using billions of tax dollars to deprive U.S. citizens of their rights to own and carry guns.

We could not stop alcohol use with a constitutional amendment and heavy enforcement, but we spent millions trying. We have been unable to stop the smuggling of various drugs with vigorous enforcement by the DEA but we continue to waste money and resources trying. It's a huge waste of lives and money. It is far cheaper to mandate treatment than imprisonment.

But now, they want to create another level of bureaucracy that will consume huge amounts of tax money (billions?) on another cause that is sure to fail but may create a black market in guns smuggled from Mexico and elsewhere. If we can't control drugs or immigration, how well will we do with guns?

It will be our tax money that is to be wasted. Get involved in stopping this.

They also want Social Security to share medical information with the FBI. What else will be shared, perhaps with Homeland Security?
