Madison County State's Attorney Tom Gibbons will speak to parents Thursday in Edwardsville about what steps they can take to ensure their children remain safe when they are surfing the web.
Gibbons is scheduled to speak at 6:15 p.m. to members of the parent-teacher organization at N.O. Nelson Elementary School, 1225 West High St. in Edwardsville.
Gibbons will talk about several websites that offer information on Internet safety for both parents and children, including KidsHealth.org.
