Overcast skies early Thursday morning will clear throughout the day and become mostly sunny by the afternoon.

The temperature at 6 a.m. was 35 degrees -- and it won't go up much. According to the National Weather Service, the high Thursday will reach 39 degrees.

But metro-east residents can look forward to a warm-up on Friday and Saturday. Temperatures are expected to reach into the 50s on both days under sunny skies. Enjoy the nice weather while you can. The high is predicted to only reach 31 Sunday and it will be a chilly 23 degrees Monday.
