BELLEVILLE POLICE
MONDAY, JAN. 14
1:08 p.m. Burglary -- First block of North 9th Street. The reporting party stated a water heater and copper pipes were removed from the residence sometime over the weekend.
1:59 p.m. Criminal damage to property -- First block of South 59th Street. The victim reported sometime within the last 24 hours, unknown person(s) damaged a window on her residence by unknown means.
4:16 p.m. Battery -- North 98th at West Main Street. Two juveniles were involved in a physical altercation.
10:07 p.m. Domestic battery -- 1600 block of Dutch Hollow. The victim reported being battered by the suspect during an argument. The suspect was arrested, transported and held pending charges.
TUESDAY, JAN. 15
1:27 p.m. Residential burglary -- First block of North 42nd Street. The victim reported between 9:05 a.m. and 1:15 p.m., unknown suspect(s) forced entry to the residence through the kitchen door.
2:42 p.m. Criminal damage to property -- First block of South 17th Street. The victim reported between 1:42 and 2:42 p.m., unknown suspect(s) shattered the rear window on her blue 2002 Chevrolet Tahoe while it was parked in her driveway.
2:54 p.m. Retail theft, subsequent -- Dollar General, 2 Bellevue Park Plaza. The suspect was arrested after taking merchandise from the business without paying for the items. The suspect was transported and held pending possible felony charges.
6:22 p.m. Criminal damage to property -- 500 block of North Jackson. A rear air conditioning unit had the copper wiring removed, damaging the unit.
6:59 p.m. Burglary to residence -- 500 block of North Jackson. A neighbor requested a check of the residence. Officers discovered a dead bolt was damaged with the door standing partially open. Officers searched the residence with no suspects being located.
7:26 p.m. Burglary to residence -- 1500 block of Michael Drive. The victim reported between 8:15 a.m. and 7:15 p.m., a front door was forced open and entry was gained. Once inside property was stolen.
WEDNESDAY, JAN. 16
2:14 a.m. Traffic stop, possession of cannabis -- Freeburg at South Belt East. Davichion Washington, 19, was arrested during a traffic stop after being found in possession of cannabis. Washington was transported and released after posting bond.
3:16 a.m. Burglary to residence -- 500 block of West C Street. The victim reported that between 4:15 p.m. on Jan. 15 and 3:10 a.m. on Jan. 16, unknown subject(s) forced entry through the side door to his residence and a handgun was stolen.
10:06 a.m. Burglary -- 2000 block of Wexford Green. Unknown suspects stole building materials from houses that are in the process of being built.
10:32 a.m. Supplemental, domestic battery arrest -- First block of Dale Allen. The suspect was arrested for a domestic battery which occurred on Dec. 25. The suspect was transported and held pending investigation.
12:58 p.m. Retail theft -- K-Mart, 7230 Westfield Plaza. Willie J. Brown, 39, was arrested after concealing merchandise and leaving the store without purchasing the items. Brown was transported where he was given a notice to appear.
1:16 p.m. Residential burglary -- 100 block of Delila. The victim reported between 6:45 a.m. and 1:16 p.m., unknown suspect(s) entered his residence and stole numerous items.
4:30 p.m. Suspicious incident -- 1700 block of West Belle. The victim stated two black males in a light blue 4-door car approached him and asked to buy his hat for $1 then drove off. He stated they never attempted to lure him into the vehicle.
7:57 p.m. Domestic battery -- 200 block of Lake Forest. The victim reported being struck by the suspect during an argument. The suspect came to headquarters and was arrested, held pending further investigation.
8:25 p.m. Aggravated armed robbery -- Live-Rite Fitness, 1024 Carlyle Ave. Officers were dispatched to a report of an armed robbery. The victim reported as he was exiting the facility he was approached by two black males with their faces covered by bandanas, wearing black hats and dark clothing. One of the suspects had a handgun and forced the victim to hand over his wallet. U.S. currency was taken from the wallet. The suspects fled the are on foot.
11:32 p.m. Pedestrian under the influence -- 3400 block of Roland. Officers located Harry Lewis, 35, in the 3400 block of Roland Avenue intoxicated. Lewis was arrested, transported and held pending sobriety.
ST. CLAIR COUNTY FELONIES
TUESDAY, JAN. 15
Keanna D. Ford, 22, of 507 St. Lucy, Cahokia, arrested on suspicion of unlawful possession of a controlled substance on Jan. 13 by St. Clair County sheriff. Ford allegedly had in her possession less than 15 grams of a substance containing heroin.
Johnny E. Squires, 47, of 337 S. Fifth St., Mascoutah, arrested on suspicion of retail theft on Dec. 20, 2012 by Fairview Heights police. Squires allegedly took possession of merchandise from Ulta Beauty, 6621 N. Illinois St., Fairview Heights, being five bottles of cologne, total retail value in excess of $300.
Melvin G. Rogers, 43, of 1202 St. Stephens Drive, Cahokia, arrested on suspicion of aggravated fleeing and attempting to elude a police officer on Jan. 14 by Cahokia police. Rogers allegedly while operating a motor vehicle, a green 1999 Chevrolet Tahoe, was given a signal by a police officer, Gary Craig, who is in police uniform and driving a vehicle which displayed illuminated, oscillating, rotating or flashing red or blue lights which when used in conjunction with an audible horn or siren would indicate the vehicle to be an official police vehicle, directing the defendant to bring said green Chevrolet Tahoe to a stop, willfully fled or attempted to elude the police officer and than when willfully fleeing or attempting to elude the police officer, the defendant disobeyed two or more official traffic control devices, being stop signs.
Eugene D. Compton Jr., 33, of 507 S. Benton St., New Athens, arrested on suspicion of retail theft and unlawful possession of a controlled substance on Dec. 11, 2012 by Fairview Heights police. Compton allegedly took possession of merchandise from Kohl's, 6109 N. Illinois St., Fairview Heights, being earrings, necklaces, a ring and other merchandise, total retail value in excess of $300; had in his possession a substance containing amphetamine.
Michael S. Buss, 22, of 1012 Lasalle St., Belleville, arrested on suspicion of aggravated battery on Jan. 11 by St. Clair County sheriff. Buss allegedly in committing a battery, and while Christopher Bilyeu was at the parking lot of JR's Last Call, 1614 Mascoutah Ave., Belleville, a public place, knowingly caused bodily harm to Christopher Bilyeu, in that he cut Christopher Bilyeu on the arm with a knife.
Kevin W. Hill, 54, of 1614 Dutch Hollow Road, Belleville, arrested on suspicion of two counts of domestic battery, subsequent offense on Jan. 14 by Belleville police. Hill allegedly made physical contact with Phyllis C. Lockett, a family/household member, in that he struck her in the face with his hand and grabbed her about the neck with his hand. Defendant had been previously convicted of Domestic Battery on Oct. 22, 2002.
Theodore P. Meyer, 49, of 1023 S. Main St., Coulterville, arrested on suspicion of burglary on Nov. 11, 2012 by Belleville police. Meyer allegedly entered a building of Robert Chestney, doing business as Subway Restaurant, 1140 S. Illinois St., Belleville, with the intent to commit theft therein.
Jonathan W. Spearman, 37, of 2019 Fairfield Place, O'Fallon, arrested on suspicion of aggravated unlawful use of a weapon, subsequent and unlawful possession of cannabis on Dec. 29, 2012 by East St. Louis police. Spearman allegedly carried in a vehicle a .38 caliber handgun at a time when he was not on his own land, or in his own abode, or fixed place of business, uncased, loaded and immediately accessible; had in his possession more than 30 grams but less than 500 grams of a substance containing cannabis. Defendant had been previously convicted of unlawful possession of a controlled substance on July 17, 2002.
Tony Garner, 55, of 1640 Cleveland Ave., East St. Louis, arrested on suspicion of aggravated unlawful use of a weapon, subsequent on Jan. 14 by East St. Louis police. Garner allegedly carried on his person a .357 Magnum at a time when he was not on his own land, or in his own abode, or fixed place of business, uncased, loaded and immediately accessible. Defendant had been previously convicted of driving while driver's license is revoked -- subsequent on June 1, 2010.
WEDNESDAY, JAN. 16
Dwayne S. Tottleben, 20, of 7645 Peacock Site Road, New Athens, arrested on suspicion of burglary on Jan. 12 to Belleville police. Tottleben allegedly remained within a motor vehicle, being a 2001 KIA of Rani Akins, 4320 W. Main St., Belleville, with the intent to commit unlawful restraint therein.
Dennis J. Kane, 43, of 5519 Perrin Road, Fairview Heights, arrested on suspicion of aggravated domestic battery, three counts of domestic battery, subsequent offense on Jan. 14 by Fairview Heights police. Kane allegedly strangled Janina A. Dreyer, a family/household member, in that said defendant applied pressure to her neck thereby impeding her ability to breathe; struck her in the face with his hand; grabbed her by the hair; grabbed her about the body and threw her into a chair. Defendant had been previously convicted of Domestic Battery on Sept. 22, 2000.
Ronaldo E. Harris, 51, of 1429 1st Ave., Fairview Heights, arrested on suspicion of escape and theft on Aug. 1, 2012 by Miscellaneous Agencies. Harris allegedly who was charged with the felony offense of Domestic Battery -- Subsequent Offense and who was conditionally released from the St. Clair County Jail, the supervising authority, through an electronic home monitoring detention program with the St. Clair County Probation Department, knowingly violated a condition of that program in that said defendant, without permission left his residence and his whereabouts were unknown; knowingly exerted unauthorized control over property of Sentinel, Inc., being a Sentinel Receiver, total value in excess of $500.

Michael L. Ogden, 53, of 6333 S. Roseburg Ave. 1W, Clayton, Mo., arrested on suspicion of unlawful possession of a controlled substance on Jan. 15 by Washington Park Police. Ogden allegedly had in his possession less than 15 grams of a substance containing cocaine.
Kristin M. Biggins, 31, of 125 S. 88th St., East St. Louis, arrested on suspicion of unlawful possession of a controlled substance on Nov. 27, 2012 by St. Clair County sheriff. Biggins allegedly had in her possession of a substance containing clonazepam.
THURSDAY, JAN. 17
Artemus Hunter, 55, of 2234 Bond Ave., East St. Louis, arrested on suspicion of aggravated domestic battery and aggravated battery, use of a deadly weapon on Jan. 14 by Alorton police. Hunter allegedly in committing domestic battery, knowingly caused great bodily harm to Dianna F. Miller, a family/household member, in that Hunter hit Miller in the head with a hammer.
Derrick D. Crumble, 21, of 44 Louise Road, Cahokia, arrested on suspicion of unlawful possession of a stolen motor vehicle on Jan. 15 by Metro East Auto Theft Task Force. Crumble allegedly a person not entitled to possession of said vehicle, possessed a blue 2002 Dodge Ram of Mark Rives, knowing it to have been stolen.
Amanda M. Townsend, 29, of 115 S. Charles St., Lenzburg, arrested on suspicion of forgery on Nov. 11, 2012 by Belleville police. Townsend allegedly with the intent to defraud, knowingly delivered to Fashion Bug, 656 Carlyle Ave., Belleville, a document apparently capable of defrauding another, in that it was purported to have been made by another, Savannah B. Wiley, a check, drawn on the First Bank of Waterloo payable to Fashion Bud in the amount of $43.27 and signed as drawer Savannah Wiley, knowing the document to have been thus made.
Michael Lewis, 54, of 1715 St. Louis Ave., East St. Louis, arrested on suspicion of retail theft, subsequent on Jan. 15 by Belleville police. Lewis allegedly took possession of merchandise from Dollar General, 1 Bellevue Park Plaza, Belleville, being men's underwear, total retail value not in excess of $300. Defendant had been previously convicted of retail theft on Oct. 10, 1997.
Fonteau M. Graves, 35, of 5411 Claxton, St. Louis, arrested on suspicion of aggravated unlawful use of a weapon on Jan. 16 by Brooklyn police. Graves allegedly carried in a vehicle a 9mm semi-automatic handgun at a time when he was not on his own land, or in his own abode, or fixed place of business, uncased, loaded and immediately accessible. Defendant had not been issued a current FOID Card.
Leon E. Davis, 30, of 732 N. 70th St., East St. Louis, arrested on suspicion of burglary on Jan. 15 by East St. Louis police. Davis allegedly entered a building of Qais Hussein, doing business as Garden Gill, 7200 State St., East St. Louis, with the intent to commit theft therein.
William C. Bowen, 30, of 1501 Franklin Ave., Belleville, arrested on suspicion of unlawful possession with the intent to deliver cannabis and unlawful possession of cannabis on Dec. 30, 2012 by Metropolitan Enforcement Group of Southwestern Illinois. Bowen allegedly possessed with the intent to deliver more than 30 grams but less than 500 grams of a substance containing cannabis.
Michael Oliver, 26, of 1609 N. 46th St., East St. Louis, arrested on suspicion of unlawful possession of cannabis on Jan. 15 by East St. Louis police. Oliver allegedly had in his possession more than 30 grams but less than 500 grams of a substance containing cannabis.
Lejon M. Smith, 38, of 6035 Clarita St., Centreville, arrested on suspicion of unlawful possession with the intent to deliver a controlled substance on Nov. 1, 2012 by Metropolitan Enforcement Group of Southwestern Illinois. Smith allegedly possessed with the intent to deliver one gram or more but less than 15 grams of a substance containing cocaine; knowingly delivered to Scott Pritchett less than one gram of a substance containing cocaine.
Ramona G. Miller, 53, of 6024 Clarita, Centreville, arrested on suspicion of unlawful possession with the intent to deliver a controlled substance and unlawful delivery of a controlled substance on Nov. 1, 2012 by Metropolitan Enforcement Group of Southwestern Illinois. Miller allegedly possessed with the intent to deliver one gram or more but less than 15 grams of a substance containing cocaine; knowingly delivered to Scott Pritchett less than one gram of a substance containing cocaine.
Russell D. Schmittling, 50, of 802 Coral Drive, arrested on suspicion of unlawful possession of firearm ammunition, unlawful possession with the intent to deliver cannabis, unlawful possession of a controlled substance on Oct. 30, 2012 by Metropolitan Enforcement Group of Southwestern Illinois. Schmittling allegedly possessed in a residence firearm ammunition, being .38 caliber ammunition; possessed with the intent to deliver more than 10 grams but less than 30 rams of a substance containing cannabis; had in his possession a substance containing oxycodone. Defendant had been previously convicted of Unlawful Production of a Controlled Substance.
