When President Obama was running for a second term for president he told us: "I am making a firm pledge that no family making less than $250,000 a year will see any form of a tax increase. Not your income tax, not your payroll tax, not your capital gains taxes, not any of your taxes." Not one single dime.
Now, thanks to the fiscal cliff deal, those earning between $30,000 and $200,000 a year will see their next paychecks reduced anywhere from about $450 to $1,800. I think that is a bit more than one single dime.
The president lied to us. If you don't believe me, look at your next paycheck stub. Yes, President Ohama has broken his pledge to the poor and middle-class taxpayers and raised their taxes.
