Eckert's Country Store and Restaurant in Belleville is celebrating National Pie Day on Wednesday with a big deal: Buy one pie at regular price in the Country Store and get a second one (of equal or lesser value) free.
Plus, in the restaurant Wednesday, all desserts will be $1 each.

Featured speaker is cookbook author Shirley Frost, of O'Fallon, who will demonstration one of her healthy recipes from "Adventures in Cuisine, Healthy Eating Classes at the YMCA." The cookbook will also be on sale for $10, with all proceeds benefiting the YMCA's Partner with Youth campaign.
Valentine cupcake bouquets
Surprise your valentine with a balloon and cupcake bouquet and help support the Heartlinks Grief Center at Family Hospice in Belleville.
A three-balloon bouquet, with red and pink helium balloons, plus two red velvet cupcakes with buttercream frosting, is $15. Bouquets can be picked up at the hospice office, 5110 W. Main St., on Feb. 13 or Feb. 14. Want it delivered in Belleville? Add $5.
