No beauty in killing

Published: January 22, 2013

One day on Scott Air Force Base I saw a bumper sticker that made me sick. It said: "Choice what a beautiful right."

Now I ask you, what is beautiful about killing a baby? Sure it's unborn but it is still a living human being. How do I know this? Because only living things can grow, and it is growing from the moment of conception.

You take a seed and plant it and it sprouts, it's growing, it's alive, even before you can see it above ground. Now if you disturb it by digging it out of the ground or waiting until it pokes its head out and mutilating it, you will kill it, right? The same thing happens to an unborn baby in an abortion.

Your president has voted to keep this horror legal many times, even the killing of one as it is being born. He has also voted twice not to give aid to one that did not die from a botched abortion; it has been sentenced to death by its mother so it must be left to die.

No wonder this country is in trouble, 4,000 some victims a day. Yet we ignore it and keep voting for their death.

I pray that this wrong can be righted before it's too late and we destroy ourselves. A country that kills its children has no future.
