BELLEVILLE — Shay Fluker scored 12 of her 19 points in the fourth quarter as the Maroons used a late surge to overcome the Warriors 43-37 Tuesday night in a Southwestern Conference girls game.
The Maroons trailed 21-12 at halftime and 24-12 early in the third quarter.
The Maroons, who were coming off a second-place finish in the Highland Tournament, improved to 16-6 overall, 7-1 in the SWC.
The Maroons have won seven of their last eight games.
The Warriors dropped to 11-9 overall, 5-5 in the SWC.
Natalie O'Keefe led the Warriors with 17 points, seven rebounds and six blocked shots.
Imani Berry chipped in 11 points and Jesheon Cooper had nine points and nine rebounds for the Maroons.
