BELLEVILLE — The following report appeared in the most recently released crime blotter by the Belleville Police Department:

TUESDAY

2:44 p.m. MOTOR VEHICLE THEFT - 700 block of Hecker. The victim reported sometime between 12:40 and 2: 40 p.m. unknown suspect stole her 2002 PT Cruiser from her rear driveway. The victim stated she left her keys in the car and the car was unlocked. It was later discovered that the East St. Louis Police Department had recovered the vehicle unoccupied after it had been involved in a one car crash.
