Thursday's weather: Chance of freezing drizzle and sleet

Thursday will be cold with a chance of drizzle and sleet predicted overnight.

Thursday's skies will be mostly sunny with a high of just 26 degrees. There is a 40 percent chance of freezing drizzle and sleet, mainly after 3 a.m., according to the National Weather Service.

A hazardous weather outlook warns that roads could become slick and some light snow, sleet or ice could accumulate on untreated surfaces, according to the National Weather Service.

The hazardous weather outlook includes St. Clair and Madison counties, in addition to other portions of the greater St. Louis area and southwestern Illinois.

Friday's weather should be cloudy then gradually becoming mostly sunny, with a high near 42. The evening low will dip back down into the teens, with a predicted low of 18.
