BELLEVILLE — Tickets to the huge boys basketball game between Edwardsville and the host Belleville East Lancers will go on sale at 5 p.m. Friday in the main gymnasium lobby at Belleville East.
Tickets will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis and fans must enter the gym after purchasing a ticket. Fans will not be allowed to hold their tickets for a later entry to the game.
Fans are encouraged to arrive much earlier than usual because a sellout is anticipated. Edwardsville is 15-1 overall and 6-1 in the Southwestern Conference, while the Lancers are 18-2 and 8-0.
Edwardsville is ranked fourth in the Class 4A state poll; East is ranked fifth in Class 4A. The Lancers defeated the Tigers 55-48 on Dec. 4 in Edwardsville.
