What were women voters thinking?

Published: January 24, 2013

Is this why women voted for President Obama?

In the 1960s, with the invention of "the pill," powerful hormones that prevent pregnancy or abort the baby became widely available. Women became responsible for their own fertility. Men could have sex anytime with no accountability to women or their conceived child. This sexual revolution and woman's liberation relaxed society's morals and increased the pervasiveness of sexual exploitation of women by men.

With Roe v. Wade, if a child was conceived, a woman could kill her own child with the help of an abortionist. There is no denying, a successful abortion results in the death of a human being. If a woman chooses not to have an abortion, AFDC and TANF allow her to have a child with government funding of rent, food stamps, health care, etc., further discouraging a traditional family. One condition was the father must be absent for the support to be given. Single mothers with the resulting poverty and all its problems become ensnared in an unbroken cycle for generations.

The inauguration of Obama resulted in change to less hope for women and families with the increase of funding and reliance on flawed welfare programs, which promote the cycle of poverty. Elevation and continued funding for Planned Parenthood increasingly reduces the significance of life and increases the destruction of the family. The Affordable Care Act, Obamacare, increases regulation from an unelected Secretary of HSS, forcing employers to fund and provide reproductive health services in insurance plans against their conscience or religious beliefs.
