BELLEVILLE — The St. Clair County state's attorney's office filed theft charges against Dmarco E. Wilbourn, 18, after witnesses allegedly saw Wilbourn going through residential mailboxes in the 1700 block of Royal Mine Road, in unincorporated St. Clair County.
A St. Clair County judge on Wednesday set Wilbourn's bond at $75,000.
A sheriff's deputy Tuesday morning arrested Wilbourn and took him into custody after witnesses contacted police, alleging that Wilbourn was going through their mailboxes.
Wilbourn, who had outstanding St. Clair County bench warrants against him, was found in possession of stolen checks.
