Well, the gloves appear to be off. The Obama administration has waged full war on our Second Amendment. He has commissioned Vice President Biden to do the dirty work, and he and the gleeful liberals are licking their chops for the opportunity to disarm the general public for "our own good." After all, the government knows best.
Look at where all of the recent mass shootings have taken place: gun-free zones. Punishing the general public because of a few idiots seems like a knee-jerk reaction to me. Then again, that's so typical of this administration. Pass legislation first, ponder over it later, or not at all.
President Obama's "my way or the highway" leadership style is only going to bring more baggage to this fragile economy. Days after passing an anemic bill to sideswipe the first fiscal cliff, he it talking of more taxes and nothing of spending cuts.
Why risk disenfranching the takers? I'm sure that Obama's view toward the flexibility of the Constitution hasn't neglected to notice another aspect of the law that directly affects him: term limits. It's frightening when you think that it would take nothing but a grand gesture by the liberals to sweep such a suggestion on the floor for a vote, and the takers of this society would fall all over the opportunity to put Obama back in for a third or fourth term. Entitlement reform would cost him potential votes.
I fear we've only seen the tip of the iceberg with this second-term Obama.
