Metro-east residents awoke 24 hours ago to wintry weather in the form of freezing rain and chilly temperatures.
But on Monday the forecast is spring-like. The high temperature is expected to reach 69 degrees, according to the National Weather Service.
There is a 40 percent chance of showers throughout the day and then a 50 percent chance of thunderstorms Monday evening.
The forecast is similar Tuesday with a predicted high of 68 degrees and a 90 percent chance of thunderstorms. But on Wednesday, wintry weather will return with a high of 40 degrees early in the day and a 30 percent chance of rain that could turn to snow as temperatures fall to a low of 22 degrees.
