The following incidents were listed among the official reports of local law enforcement agencies and court clerks. Readers are reminded that an arrest or charge does not constitute a finding of guilt. Only a court of law can make that determination.

BELLEVILLE POLICE

WEDNESDAY, JAN. 23

8:20 a.m. Theft -- The Recycling Center, 110 Iowa Ave. The business owner reported between 10:30 and 10:43 p.m., last night, two unknown person(s) stole scrap metal out of a storage barrel at the business.

12:08 p.m. Residential burglary -- First block of Jennine Drive. Sometime within the last 48 hours unknown person(s) pried open a rear door to gain entry. Several items were then stolen out of the residence.

12:26 p.m. Unlawful use of a debit card -- Conoco Phillips, 7406 W. Main St. The victim reported unknown person(s) used his debit card without his permission at the ATM located inside the business.

6:18 p.m. Burglary -- 9800 block of Baltimore. The victim reported sometime between Jan. 21 and Jan. 23, his garage door was forced open and property was taken.

6:51 p.m. Battery -- First block of South 97th Street. The victim reported being struck by the suspect while they were involved in a disturbance. The suspect was gone on arrival. The victim signed a nontraffic citation for the battery.

8:16 p.m. Warrant arrest, possession of a controlled substance -- 700 block of East Adams. Officers responded to the residence to arrest the suspect for an outstanding St. Clair County warrant. The suspect was transported and was found to have a controlled substance on his person. The suspect was then transported to the St. Clair County Jail and held pending further investigation.

8:17 p.m. Open burn, warrant arrest -- Illinois 15 and Illinois 159 underpass. Arthur Martin, 53, was arrested after officers responded to a report of an open burn and located Martin. It was discovered Martin had an outstanding warrant out of St. Clair County. Martin was transported to the St. Clair County Jail.

9:59 p.m. Criminal trespass -- 200 block of East Main Street. Two juveniles were arrested for criminal treespass after they were discovered on a roof of a building in the 200 block of East Main. They were transported and later released to a parent.

THURSDAY, JAN. 24

7:10 a.m. Criminal damage to property -- 600 block of Portland. The victim reported unknown person(s) used an unknown item and damaged the windshield of her 2001 Toyota Corolla.

3:26 p.m. Residential burglary -- First block of Ben Louis. The victim reported returning home and discovering the residence had been burglarized.

4:40 p.m. Aggravated battery, retail theft -- Circle K. 2709 W. Main St. An employee/victim reported she confronted the driver of a silver four-door vehicle to inform him that his credit card was not working. The vehicle sped off and struck the victim in the elbow, breaking off the vehicle's mirror. The vehicle left without paying for $30 in gas.

8:04 p.m. Criminal damage to property -- Children First Foundation, 1909 Dublin. The victim reported the rear window of her vehicle was damaged while it was parked in the parking lot.

8:15 p.m. Burglary -- 9800 block of West Main Street. The victim reported between Jan. 11 and Jan. 24, unknown person(s) forced entry through the rear door of his residence and property was taken.

10:53 p.m. Subject removal, arrest -- 500 block of Benton. Officers responded to a report of a subject removal. Officers made contact with two subjects in the residence, one of which had an outstanding nontraffic citation with our department. Tara McCoy, 46, was arrested and transported for the nontraffic citation signed on Dec. 22, 2012, for unlawful visitation interference. McCoy was released with a notice to appear.

11:17 p.m. Threats, harassment by telephone -- First block of Dale Allen. The victim reported an unknown subject started sending him threatening text messages.

FRIDAY, JAN. 25

8:32 a.m. Criminal damage to property -- Bethany Place, 821 W. A St. Calvin E. Taylor, 37, was arrested after he threw a rock at a window causing damage. Taylor was transported and held pending bond.

9:48 a.m. Violation of an order of protection -- 200 block of South 11th Street. The victim reported the suspect called her numerous times between Jan. 18 and Jan. 25 violating an active order of protection.

1:22 p.m. Residential burglary -- 3500 block of Summit. The victim reported unknown suspect(s) forced entry through the rear door of the residence and property was taken.

1:35 p.m. Aggravated battery to a police officer, resisting arrest -- 300 block of North 2nd Street. The suspect was arrested after punching one officer and kicking another. The suspect was transported and held pending charges.

7:31 p.m. Battery -- Willowcreek Nursing Home, 40 N. 64th St. The director of the nursing home reported two patients had been involved in a physical altercation in the dining area.

8:56 p.m. Warrant arrest -- Officers responded to Caseyville Police Department in reference to Victor J. Robinson, 26, in their custody. Robinson had warrants originating from Belleville on a domestic battery charge and was transporated to the St. Clair County Jail.

10:12 p.m. Retail theft (subsequent felony) -- Quick Stop, 1258 Lebanon Ave. An employee reported the suspect concealed merchandise and left the business without purchasing the item. The suspect was arrested, transported and held pending possible felony charges.

10:53 p.m. Theft -- First block of North 17th Street. The victim reported the suspect was at his residence. After the suspect left, the victim noticed U.S. currency was missing from the residence.

SATURDAY, JAN. 26

3:33 p.m. Residential burglary -- 200 block of Harmony Ridge Drive. The victim reported he left his garage door open for the past few days. He reported unknown suspect(s) entered his garage and property was taken.

3:39 p.m. Retail theft -- K-Mart, 7230 Westfield Plaza. Lamour Williams, 19, was arrested after concealing merchandise and left the store without purchasing the items. Williams was transported and held pending bond.

Retail theft -- Walmart, 2601 Green Mount Commons. Susan Klein, 40, was arrested after taking merchandise from the store without purchasing the items. Klein was transported and released after posting bond.

SUNDAY, JAN. 27

12:31 a.m. Traffic stop, warrant arrest -- North Illinois Street at F Street. Marie A. Wicker, 30, was arrested during a traffic stop after it was discovered she had an outstanding warrant out of Randolph County. Wicker was transported to the St. Clair County Jail.

6 a.m. Theft -- Wilkerson Chapel Church, 640 S. 19th St. A witness observed two subjects load the chapel sign in the front yard into a white extended cab truck and leave the area approximately 6 a.m.

10:16 a.m. Trespassing -- Walmart, 2601 Green Mount Commons. Carlos Collier, 21, was arrested for trespassing after he had been previously warned he was banned from Walmart. Collier was transported and later taken to court.

6:52 p.m. Traffic stop, warrant arrest -- 4500 block of West Main Street. Lenny L. Funk, 45, was arrested during a traffic stop after it was discovered he had an outstanding warrant out of St. Clair County. Funk was transported to the St. Clair County Jail.

7:54 p.m. Retail theft -- BP Amoco, 1301 S. 74th St. An employee reported a subject exited the store with merchandise she did not purchase.

8:11 p.m. Battery, occupancy violation -- 600 block of North Illinois Street. The victims reported being attacked by Lindsey L. Lowery, 27, during a visitation exchange. Lowery was arrested and transported and held pending bond. While investigating the incident officers discovered an occupancy permit violation by Lowery and a nontraffic citation for this violation was also issued.

9:59 p.m. Vehicle accident, driving under the influence -- 100 block of North Missouri. Officers responded to the residence for a report of a vehicle that crashed into the front porch. The driver, Jeremy L. Spiker, 35, was arrested after appearing to be intoxicated and failing field sobriety tests. Spiker was transported and held pending bond.

ST. CLAIR COUNTY FELONIES

FRIDAY, JAN. 25

Jared W. Griffin, 29, of 732 E. Adams, Belleville, arrested on suspicion of unlawful possession of a controlled substance on Dec. 24 by St. Clair County sheriff. Griffin allegedly had in his possession less than 15 grams of a substance containing heroin.

William C. Kernan, 35, of 301 Wall St., Tilden, arrested on suspicion of burglary on Nov. 6 by Marissa police. Kernan allegedly entered a building of Gail Laskowski, doing business as Marissa Foodmart, located at 700 E. Lyons, Marissa, with the intent to commit theft.

Theodore P. Meyer, 49, of 302 Walnut St., Tilden, arrested on suspicion of burglary on Nov. 16 by Marissa police. Meyer allegedly entered a building of Gail Laskowski, doing business as Marissa Foodmart, located at 700 E. Lyons, Marissa, with the intent to commit theft.

Derek J. Stinnett, 28, of 923 N. Center St., Collinsville, arrested on suspicion of theft on Dec. 30 by St. Clair County sheriff. Stinnett allegedly obtained control over stolen property of Douglas Clymer, doing business as Clymer Construction, being three Bostick brand nail guns, total value in excess of $500.

Samantha L. McCormick, 25, of 2029 Williams Hollow Road, Gallipolis, Ohio, arrested on suspicion of unlawful possession of a controlled substance andunlawful possession of cannabis on Jan. 23 by Caseyville police. McCormick allegedly had in her possession less than 15 grams of a substance containing heroin; had in her possession more than 2.5 grams but less than 10 grams of a substance containing cannabis.

Ashley L. Geiger, 27, of 8844 Parkdale Drive, Caseyville, arrested on suspicion of unlawful possession of a controlled substance and retail theft on Dec. 28 by St. Clair County sheriff. Geiger allegedly had in her possession a substance containing clonazepam; knowingly took merchandise from Walmart, 1511 Camp Jackson Road, Cahokis, being bras, boxes, and T-shirts, total retail value not in excess of $300.

James M. Hardy Jr., 42, of 218 Hutchings Place, Cahokia, arrested on suspicion of two counts of unlawful delivery of a controlled substance on Jan. 22 by St. Clair County sheriff. Hardy allegedly delivered less than 1 gram of a substance containing cocaine to a confidential source.

Edward L. Wilson, 50, of 8117 Carol Drive, East St. Louis, arrested on suspicion of unlawful possession of a controlled substance on Jan. 24 by St. Clair County sheriff. Wilson allegedly had in his possession less than 15 grams of a substance containing cocaine.

FRIDAY, JAN. 25

Tyrone H. Holman, 40, of East St. Louis, arrested on suspicion of suspended or revoked driver's license, traffic violation by St. Clair County sheriff.

Chad A. Harrell, 37, of Coulterville, warrant arrest by Marissa police.

Michael Kasperzick, 36, of Marissa, arrested on suspicion of contributing to the delinquency of a minor by Marissa police.

Joshua L. Sins, 21, of Belleville, arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence and traffic violation by St. Clair County sheriff.

John M. Bievenue, 25, of Waterloo, warrant arrest by Caseyville police.

William R. Clark, 39, of Millstadt, warrant arrest by St. Clair County sheriff.

Ieshia R. Frost, 19, of Belleville, arrested on suspicion of operating uninsured motor vehicle and suspended or revoked driver's license by St. Clair County sheriff.

Leamon B. Jefferson, 38, of Belleville, arrested on suspicion of traffic violation by St. Clair County sheriff.

Calvin E. Taylor, 37, of Belleville, arrested on suspicion of criminal damage to property by Belleville police.

MADISON COUNTY SHERIFF

SUNDAY, JAN. 27

Caleb A. Roberts, 18, of Edwardsville, was arrested on suspicion of unlawful consumption of alcohol by a minor. He was transported to the Madison County Jail and held on a $100 cash bond.

FEDERAL COURT

MONDAY, JAN. 28

Michael C. Campbell, 54, was sentenced to two years in prison for possession of a stolen firearm and possession of a firearm by a user of marijuana.
