A single-car accident about 2 a.m. Tuesday on Interstate 64 just east of the Interstate 255 interchange sent the driver to the hospital.
The car slid off the roadway and turned over in a water-filled ditch in the median of the interstate.
The driver was able to escape from the car. Police reports did not indicate the cause of the accident, the identity of the driver or the nature of the injuries.
