Published: January 29, 2013

East St. Louis Police late Tuesday afternoon were planning to interview congregation members from a church that was robbed on Sunday.

Police asked that congregation members starting at 5 p.m. Tuesday return to Ira Grove Baptist Church, 1701 Belmont in East St. Louis, so police officers can take their statements. Police expected to be at the church for several hours.

Three masked gunmen forced their way into church services on Sunday and robbed worshipers. Two teens are in police custody being questioned about the robbery.
