After a couple of days of spring-like weather, winter returns Wednesday with rapidly dropping temperatures and a chance of snow.
According to the National Weather Service, the temperature at 6 a.m. was 52 degrees. But the mercury is expected to fall throughout the day. There is a 30 percent chance of rain in the morning which could turn to snow around noon when the temperature reaches the freezing mark.
The low Wednesday night is expected to reach 22 degrees -- 50 degrees cooler than the high temperature Tuesday. On Thursday it will be even colder with a high of 35 and a low of 9 degrees.
