Edwardsville woman accused of stealing man's iPad

An Edwardsville woman has been charged with felony theft after she allegedly stole a Granite City man's iPad while he allowed her and a friend into his house to use his phone.

According to the Madison County Sheriff's Department, Stacy A. Edwards, 26 of 2900 Sand Road, Lot 38, was visiting a neighbor in Granite City when the pair asked to come into the victim's home to make a phone call. When they left, he discovered his newly-purchased iPad was missing.

The victim called the sheriff's department and they located Edwards who allegedly had the iPad in her possession. She was taken to the Madison County Jail where her bond was set at $20,000.
