BELLEVILLE — Belleville police investigated a Tuesday armed robbery in the parking lot of Country Club Plaza.
A 75-year-old woman told police that a man pointed a handgun at her and demanded her purse, according to Belleville Police Capt. Don Sax.
The incident happened at 6:31 p.m. Tuesday as the woman was getting into her vehicle at 5720 North Belt West in the area closest to the Dress Barn store, Sax said.
The suspect was described as a male in his 20s and wearing all black clothing. The man took her purse and fled on foot.
