A car caught fire Thursday afternoon after rear ending a school bus near O'Fallon Township High School on Smiley Road. No injuries were reported, according to O'Fallon fire officials.
Deputy Fire Chief Gary Stein said a car with one occupant rear ended a school bus occupied by just the driver around 2:15 p.m. near the intersection of Fourth Street and Smiley Road. Traffic was disrupted minimally as a result of the crash.
"We put the fire out and wrapped up fairly quickly," Stein said.
