Belleville leaders hold town hall meeting on guns Saturday

Conqueror's Christian Center in Belleville will hold a town hall meeting called "America: One Nation, Many Guns" from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday. The public is encouraged to attend.

Panelists will include Belleville Mayor Mark Eckert, Chief of Police William Clay, District 201 Superintendent Jeff Dosier, Lindenwood University Education and Counseling Chairman Ken Kubicek, the Rev. Curtis A. Nunn Sr. of Bethel Christian Worship Center in East St. Louis and others. They will discuss the Sandy Hook shooting, guns in schools and churches, Second Amendment rights, the mindset of killers and other topics.

The Rev. John L. Curry, pastor of Conqueror's Christian Center, will moderate the discussion. The church is at 200 E. Washington St. in Belleville. For more information, call 618-277-5671.
