A federal judge sentenced a Freeburg man to 25 years in prison on child pornography and enticement of a minor to engage in sexual activity charges.

Clayton R. Collins, 35, pleaded guilty on Monday to a five-count federal indictment charging him with enticement of a minor to engage in sexual activity, transportation of child pornography, receipt of child pornography, possession of child pornography and receipt of obscene matter.

In September 2011, court documents stated that Collins began communicating with a 13-year-old girl through an Internet social networking website called my YearBook.com. Collins used this website and later sent text messages to induce the teen to engage in sexual intercourse, according to court documents.

Collins engaged in sexual intercourse with the girl on four separate occasions between Sept. 28 and Oct. 16, 2011, in Sparta and Pinckneyville, according to the statement of facts.

Collins has been charged with aggravated criminal sexual abuse in Perry County. That charge is still pending, according to the Perry County Circuit Clerk. It is set for a pre-trial on Feb. 27.

During a forensic examination of Collins computer, investigators found 101 images of another 13-year-old girl engaged in sexually explicit conduct. These images were transported and received through Collins' cellphone and computer. Collins met this teen through a social networking website.

Additional files recovered from Collins' computer included numerous video and image files containing depictions of bestiality.

After Collins finishes his prison sentence, he will be on federal supervised release for the rest of his life and will be required to register as a sex offender.

Collins has been in custody since his arrest on June 15.
