BELLEVILLE — St. Louis University basketball Hall of Famer Joe Wiley of Belleville will be the guest speaker Friday for the Belleville Area Senior Men's Sports Group. Wiley will be speaking about Billikens basketball.
Those interested in attending the 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. event at the PSOP Building, 201 N. Church St., in Belleville, are urged to make reservations by calling 234-4410, ext. 7016.
A 1970 SLU graduate and former all-state player at Belleville Township High School, Wiley has served as a television analyst for Billikens' basketball since 1994.
The president of Quest Management Consultants in St. Louis, Wiley was influential in the 2007 hiring of Rick Majerus as SLU men;s basketball coach. In 2011, Wiley was the recipient of an Alumni Merit Award of the university's College of Arts and Sciences.
