FAIRVIEW HEIGHTS — Police are trying to find a suspect in the armed robbery of a Sally Beauty Supply store.
Lt. Steve Evans said the store at 10850 Lincoln Trail was robbed by an armed man at 5:50 p.m. Tuesday.
A store employee reported the suspect entered the business through the front door while no customers were present. He came to the counter, displayed a handgun and demanded money, Evans said.
After the employee gave him an undisclosed amount of money, Evans said the suspect ordered her onto the floor and left through the front door. Witnesses observed the suspect running north away from the business.
The suspect was described as a black male, 20 to 25 years old, and 5 feet, 6 inches to 5 feet, 8 inches tall. At the time of the robbery, he was wearing a blue-hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans and a black doo-rag on his head.
