Spring-like temperatures, showers expected Thursday

Published: February 7, 2013

The good news is that the high temperature Thursday is going to be a very spring-like 63 degrees.

The bad news is, if metro-east residents try to get outside and enjoy the warm weather, they're probably going to get wet.

There is a 90 percent chance of showers Thursday, according to the National Weather Service.

The temperature will be slow to rise throughout the day. As commuters head out the door in the morning the temperature will be in the low 40s and scattered showers will be in the area. The mercury won't hit the 60s until about 2 p.m. And that's when steadier rain is expected to arrive.

There is a 60 percent chance of showers Thursday evening. Skies will clear overnight. A mostly sunny day expected Friday with a high temperature of 44 degrees.
