It appears this once great country of ours is accelerating its march toward socialist. The momentum of the federal government's intrusion into our lives is advancing by way of introducing thousands of new regulations and presidential executive mandates every month.

The elite of the progressive (socialist) party under the leadership of President Obama have publicly stated that all of us "have a little bit of Homer Simpson in us," and therefore they must guide people by reducing their choices in how they should lead their lives. Obama said, "Under my policies the cost of energy will skyrocket." Since energy has a direct impact on the economy, is it any wonder we still have many working men and women unemployed or underemployed?

Prices of just about everything seem to be rising weekly based on the cost of energy, taxes and new regulations. We still haven't seen the impact on what Obamacare will have in the way of increased taxes and the intrusion into our private lives.

I would recommend that everyone read the history of the Soviet Union under Joseph Stalin. Under the socialist or communist party all other parties were destroyed by either force or belittled by the socialist as being obstructionist and ineffective.

During my working life I have traveled to every communist country with the exception of North Korea. I have witnessed firsthand life under communist rule. Believe me when I say that your worst day living in a free society would be one of your best days under the socialist system.
