To letter writer Sandy Boshkoff: yes, President Bush left us in a mess with $1 trillion or thereabouts in debt, but what has President Obama done? He put us more in debt, like $16 trillion. Obama made several promises he did not keep. Here are just a few.

* Cut the debt. He not only didn't cut it, he put more toward it.

* Unemployment. He promised to bring it down to 6 percent. At first it rose to 10 percent, then went down to 8 percent then stayed there during most of his first term. Only near the end of his first term did it finally go down some. A little bit ago it went back up slightly. Now it's back at 7.9 percent and that's only with the ones who are still looking for work. It doesn't count people who are done with looking for work or are not looking for work now.

Let's not forget Obamacare. Many people think that is such a good insurance to have. Well, right now for some it is affordable but probably only because it is free. Once it's in full swing in 2014 it will cost most people dearly.
