BELLEVILLE POLICE

TUESDAY, FEB. 5

10:45 a.m. Disorderly conduct -- 900 block of East Main Street. The victim reported her dog was in a fenced in front yard when Brandon Davis, 19, kicked her fence in front of the dog. The victim yelled at the suspects to keep walking when Brandon Davis and Aaron M. Davis started cursing and threatening the victim. Aaron and Brandon were arrested, transported and released after posting bond.

3:21 p.m. Deceptive practice, fraud -- City of Belleville, 101 S. Illinois St. An employee from the Treasurer's Office reported they received three payments from the suspect on fraudulent accounts.

5:44 p.m. Home invasion -- 600 block of Portland. Officers responded to the report of a home invasion in progress. On arrival the victim told officers the suspect, who the victim knows, entered the residence through an unlocked door. The victim hit the suspect and the two began to struggle before the suspect fled the scene. The suspect was located, arrested, transported and held pending further investigation.

6:35 p.m. Retail theft, resisting arrest -- Walmart, 2601 Green Mount Commons. Officers responded to a report of a retail theft in progress. As officers arrived, store loss prevention pointed to a man who fled out of the business. Officers apprehended the male, Ricky W. Browning, 19, in the parking. Browning fought with officers as he was being taken into custody. A second subject, Alicia L. Dunn, 26, was located in the store and taken into custody. Browning and Dunn were transported and held pending bond.

7:20 p.m. Battery -- 300 block of North 45th Street. The victim reported the suspect struck him with a baseball bat. The suspect was gone on arrival. The victim signed a non traffic citation for battery and was transported to an area hospital.

7:53 p.m. Retail theft -- Target, 5601 Belleville Crossing. Loss prevention reported observing surveillance video that showed two men taking merchandise from the store without paying for the items.

WEDNESDAY, FEB. 6

3:36 a.m. Domestic battery -- 700 block of Union. The victim reported a disturbance with the suspect during which she was battered. The suspect was located and found to have been injured. The suspect was transported to an area hospital where he was treated and released. The suspect was arrested, transported and held pending further investigation.

9:57 a.m. Residential burglary -- First block of Emery Court. The victim reported between 9:15 and 9:57 a.m., unknown person(s) entered her residence and property was stolen.

3:14 p.m. Burglary to vehicle -- 6000 block of West Main Street. The victim reported a window on his vehicle had been broken out and property was stolen.

6:18 p.m. Theft -- Car wash, 818 Carlyle. The victim reported he was pushed from behind and as he fell he dropped his phone. The suspect was seen running from the area with the victim's phone.

7:31 p.m. Criminal damage to property (juvenile) -- 600 block of North 38th Street. The victim reported her daughter kicked open the door to the residence, causing damage to the door frame. The suspect fled the scene prior to the officer's arrival.

7:35 p.m. Battery -- 500 block of North 40th Street. The victim alleged she was visiting a friend/suspect. An argument commenced between them. The suspect battered the victim and fled the scene prior to the officer's arrival.

7:45 p.m. Domestic battery, fugitive arrest -- 400 block of North Fourth Street. The victim alleged she had an argument with her boyfriend/suspect. The suspect battered the victim and he was arrested. The victim had an outstanding non traffic complaint for theft. After refusing medical treatment, she was arrested. Both subjects were transported to headquarters. The boyfriend/suspect was detained pending further investigation. The victim was processed and released on a notice to appear.

ST. CLAIR COUNTY FELONIES

WEDNESDAY, FEB. 6

Glenn James, 22, of 311 N. 73rd St., Centreville, arrested on suspicion of aggravated unlawful use of a weapon on Dec. 19 by East St. Louis police. James allegedly carried on his person a 9mm handgun at a time when he was not on his own land, or in his own abode, or fixed place of business, uncased, unloaded and firearm and ammunition was immediately accessible.

Dartavious J. Thomas, 26, of 1330 N. 35th St., East St. Louis, arrested on suspicion of unlawful possession of a weapon by a felon on Feb. 5 by East St. Louis police. Thomas allegedly possessed in his residence a 12 gauge shotgun. Defendant had been previously convicted of criminal trespass to a residence on July 18.

Ceonta M. Jackson, 19, of 42 Louise, Cahokia, arrested on suspicion of aggravated unlawful use of a weapon on Dec. 19, 2012 by Cahokia police. Jackson allegedly carried on his person a .357 revolver at a time when he was not on his own land, or in his own abode or fixed place of business, uncased, loaded and immediately accessible. Defendant had not been issued a current valid FOID Card.

Rufus L. Thomas Jr., 20, of 1628 Henrietta, East St. Louis, arrested on suspicion of unlawful possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance on Oct. 16 by Metropolitan Enforcement Group of Southwestern Illinois. Thomas allegedly possessed with the intent to deliver less than 1 gram of a substance containing cocaine.

Mark J. Brown, 61, of 4 Antrim Drive, Fairview Heights, arrested on suspicion of five counts of criminal sexual assault on family members under the age of 18 between June 6, 2006, and July 6, 2006, by Fairview Heights police.

Frank L. Perri, 30, of 8 Nagel Lane, Central Islip, N.Y., arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol and driving on a revoked license on Feb. 22, 2012, by Illinois State Police. Perri allegedly drove a black 2001 Dodge Ram 1500 truck on Interstate 64 in Caseyville, while the defendant was under the influence of alcohol and during a period in which the defendant's driving privileges were revoked.

Julie M. Pusa-Fessel, 2830 Fairway Drive, Belleville, arrested on suspicion of four counts of unlawful possession of fraudulent driver's license on Feb. 5 by St. Clair County sheriff.

Michael A. Knipp, 49, of 9168 Forest Drive; Fairview Heights, arrested on suspicion of aggravated driving under the influence and driving while driver's license is revoked, subsequent on Jan. 25 by Caseyville police. Knipp allegedly drove a gold 1999 Chevrolet Blazer on Bunkum Road in Caseyville while the defendant was under the influence of alcohol and during a period in which the defendant's driving privileges were revoked. Defendant had been previously convicted of driving while license is revoked on March 23.

Delandos C. Lawrence, 21, of 14 Jennifer Drive, Fairview Heights, arrested on suspicion of unlawful possession of cannabis on Dec. 23 by Metropolitan Enforcement Group of Southwestern Illinois. Lawrence allegedly had in his possession more than 30 but less than 500 grams of a substance containing cannabis.

Latonia D. Bornnard, 38, of 3005 E. B St., 6, Shiloh, arrested on suspicion of unlawful possession with the intent to deliver cannabis on Dec. 23 by Metropolitan Enforcement Group of Southwestern Illinois. Bornnard allegedly possessed with the intent to deliver more than 30 grams but less than 500 grams of a substance containing cannabis.

THURSDAY, FEB. 7

Jason W. Mohler, 36, of 13003 Burmuda Grass Court, Breese, arrested on suspicion of aggravated driving under the influence and driving on suspended license on Feb. 5 by Mascoutah police. Mohler allegedly drove a black 1999 Ford Ranger on Illinois 4 in Mascoutah, while the defendant was under the influence of alcohol and during a period in which the defendant's driving privileges were suspended.

Kirk L. Cochran, 20, of 1711 N. 45th St., East St. Louis, arrested on suspicion of unlawful possession with the intent to deliver a controlled substance on Aug. 26 by Washington Park police. Cochran allegedly possessed wit the intent to deliver 1 gram or more but less than 15 grams of a substance containing cocaine.

Roshie D. Truss, 20, of 505 Lenora Circle, Fairview Heights, arrested on suspicion of home invasion on Feb. 3 by Fairview Heights police. Truss allegedly entered the dwelling of Kareem Malcom Jamal Stone, 98 Peachtree Lane, Fairview Heights, knowing Kareem Malcom Jamal Stone to be present within that dwelling place and intentionally caused injury to Stone in that said defendant struck him about the head and chest area.

Bryton J. Wilson, 19, of 34 Ruth Place, Belleville, arrested on suspicion of home invasion on Feb. 3 by Fairview Heights police. Wilson allegedly entered the dwelling of Kareem Malcom Jamal Stone, 98 Peachtree Lane, Fairview Heights, knowing Kareem Malcom Jamal Stone to be present within that dwelling place and intentionally caused injury to Stone in that said defendant struck him about the head and chest area.

Gerund T. Higgins, 36, of 215 N. 33rd St., East St. Louis, arrested on suspicion of unlawful possession with the intent to deliver a controlled substance on Feb. 5 by East St. Louis police. Higgins allegedly possessed with the intent to deliver 1 or more grams but less than 15 grams of a substance containing cocaine.

Christopher R. Allen, 48, of 22 Mallard Drive, Belleville, arrested on suspicion of aggravated driving under the influence of alcohol on Jan. 11 by Shiloh police. Allen allegedly drove a black 1995 Chevrolet 1500 truck on Bridgewater in Shiloh, while the defendant was under the influence of alcohol. Defendant had previously committed the offense of driving under the influence on Sept. 14, 2005, and previously committed the offense of driving under the influence on Aug. 5, 2010.

MADISON COUNTY FELONIES

MONDAY, FEB. 4

Devin L. Bailey, 19, of 222 Carver St., Madison, was charged with unlawful possession of cannabis with the intent to distribute between 10 and 30 grams. Bailey allegedly had about 30 grams of cannabis on his person when searched by a Madison County sheriff's deputy during a traffic stop on Friday.

Cassandra B. Hart, 22, of 707 N. Morrison Ave., Collinsville, was charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance in a penal institution. Hart was booked into the Madison County Jail Saturday on a warrant and allegedly had a container hidden on her person, which was found to contain several capsules of heroin.

MADISON COUNTY SHERIFF

SATURDAY, FEB. 2

Cheryl L. Hutchinson, 54, and John L. Phillips, 58, both of 3241 W. Chain of Rocks Road in Granite City, were arrested on suspicion of unlawful possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine). While investigating a domestic battery at the Sun Motel in Granite City, deputies located and seized articles of drug paraphernalia and methamphetamine, which were allegedly linked to Hutchinson and Phillips.

FEDERAL COURT

Friday, Feb. 8

Ever Astorga-Ramirez, 34, who most recently resided in Phoenix, Ariz., was sentenced on Friday in federal court in East St. Louis for possession with the intent to distribute heroin and illegal re-entry into the United States following deportation. Astorga-Ramirez was sentenced to six years and eight months imprisonment. Astorga-Ramirez must be deported following imprisonment.

Wednesday, Feb. 6

Joshua Hamilton, 28, from Washington Park, was sentenced on Wednesday, in federal court in East St. Louis, on one count of unlawful possession of a firearm by a previously convicted felon. Hamilton was sentenced to 27 months in prison, three years of supervised release, fined $250 and ordered to pay $100 special assessment, admitted on November 29, 2011, that a firearm recovered from a law enforcement operation involving a vehicle search in which he was a passenger belonged to him.
